Cookie Policy
Effective: March 2026
Plain English. No jargon. Just a clear explanation of the cookies Tru-Digital Services Limited uses across Tru-Digital Services, Tru Data Protection and Tru Digital Platform websites.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember information about your visit — such as your preferences or session state — to make the experience smoother.
Cookies are not harmful. They cannot run programmes or carry viruses. They simply help websites work as intended.
2. What Cookies We Use
We keep our cookie use to a minimum. Our website currently uses essential cookies only.
Essential Cookies
These cookies are strictly necessary for the website to function. They do not track you or collect personal data for marketing purposes. Under UK PECR, essential cookies do not require your consent.
What We Do Not Use
We do not currently use:
- Analytics cookies (e.g. Google Analytics)
- Marketing or advertising cookies
- Social media tracking pixels
- Profiling or behavioural tracking
3. AWS (S3 + CloudFront)
Our website is delivered using Amazon Web Services (AWS) (for example Amazon S3 and Amazon CloudFront) to host and deliver website content securely and quickly.
We aim to avoid non-essential cookies. CloudFront does not generally set marketing or analytics cookies. Where any strictly necessary cookies are used, they support core site functionality and security and do not exist for advertising or profiling.
4. Contact Form
When you submit our contact form, we collect the information you provide (name, email, message). This data is processed by our API and stored in our secure Notion workspace. No additional cookies are set by this process.
5. Your Cookie Choices
If we use a cookie banner/consent tool (for example via iubenda), you can manage preferences through the on-site controls.
Browser Settings
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View cookies currently stored
- Block cookies from specific sites
- Block all third-party cookies
- Clear all cookies when you close the browser
How to manage cookies in common browsers:
Please note: Blocking essential cookies may affect how the website functions.
6. Future Changes to Cookie Use
If we introduce non-essential cookies in the future (for example, analytics to help us improve the site), we will:
- Ask for your consent before setting any non-essential cookies
- Explain clearly what each cookie does and why
- Give you a genuine choice to accept or decline
- Make it as easy to withdraw consent as it is to give it
We will update this policy and notify you of any material changes.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in:
- The cookies we use
- Legal requirements (UK PECR, UK GDPR, DUAA 2025)
- Best practice guidance from the ICO
The "Effective" date at the top of this page will always show when it was last updated.
